The SQL Server instance must not be a mixed-collation environment.
If you plan to install a new iMIS database (instead of upgrading an existing one), your SQL Server instance must have a default SQL collation of SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS (sort order ID 52), which is the default for the EmptyDB and DemoDB provided with iMIS. If the SQL Server default is different, you will need to reinstall SQL Server with the correct collation before installing iMIS.
To use a different SQL collation
You can change SQL collation by installing iMIS 10.6 and then upgrading to 15:
1. Install the iMIS 10.6.30.07 Production - Server Release on your appserver and follow the procedure To create a new iMIS database for SQL Server with any sort order in the iMIS database installation (Server CD) section of the iMIS 10.6 Installation Guide. (See Download product CD images.)
2. Complete all database imports, migration, and iMIS configuration against the iMIS 10.6 database.
3. Upgrade your iMIS 10.6 server installation to iMIS 15.1.3 as documented.
4. Proceed to upgrade 15.1.3 to 15.2.1.
